That's a pretty picture and a nice message. It's nothing so vulgar as the thing it reminds me of but I think it's worth sharing: something a fictional character in one of the first erotic novels "Fanny Hill" by John McClellan say. To euphemize, the man makes an error in boarding sexually at the wrong dock shall we say, and she protests but then he cries "any port in a storm!"
Yes, and the tug pulling the liner into the harbour, and the gangplank (dp they have gangplanks on modern ships?) going down and there is your loved one waiting. help me with my suitcases, you say. Your suitcases of desire? No... they're just very heavy.
Lovely poem. Nice view. And of course - Leonard Cohen? Why of course?

Very nice! The picture is beautiful, too.
I read through many of your poems. They are touchy and lucid to the core...I enjoyed being with them...

i love brixham. spent a fortnight there with a young lady back in the 70's making love and then after, taking photos of the harbour and the gulls.
Made me feel all nostalgic and fuzzy... and a little sad :( Nevertheless, I like it. =)
I lost my favorites list and decided to use CJ's blogroll.
Lovely photo. Your poem leaves me wanting to feel hugged deeply. :)
This poem says it all for me as I have just lost my lover and I long to return to his arms...
Beautifully wrote.
