South For The Winter
South for the Winter
I saw a flock of geese today,
In formation.
Migrating to warmer climes.
Wish that I could forget your love,
and follow them.
South for the winter.
Then maybe this frozen heart
would defrost,
and I could return in the spring.
Warmer.
To a fresh life,
and a new love.
Postscript.
Instead I’ll hire a sunbed,
and dream,
and hope....

Such an easy lovely rhythm you temper your words with. Though it is of 'love lost', what a pleasure to read.
You and me both
